This Privacy Policy describes how Ayman Saafan ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, protects, and shares your personal information when you use the Habit Dojo mobile application ("App").

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We collect information that falls into three categories:

2.A. Information You Provide Directly

This is information you voluntarily submit when creating an account and using the App.

Information provided when you contact us for support (e.g., email history, device details). Used to resolve your queries.
2.B. Usage and Technical Data

When you access the App, we automatically collect certain information:

  • Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Usage Data: Details about how you use the App, such as features accessed, time spent, crash reports, and interaction with the user interface.
  • Firebase Data: Data generated and stored by the **Firebase platform**, including database read/write times and file storage references.
2.C. Financial Data

We **do not** collect or store your payment details. All purchases, including subscriptions for premium roadmaps, are processed directly by the platform provider:

  • Apple App Store
  • Google Play Store

Your payment information is handled according to their respective privacy policies. We only receive a notification that a payment has been successfully made.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following core purposes:

  1. **To Provide and Maintain the App:** To authenticate your account, store your User Content on the **Firebase backend**, and deliver the core habit tracking service.
  2. **To Personalize the Service (Generative AI):** We use your **User Content (goals, current habits, general notes)** as input data to generate personalized roadmaps, strategies, and motivational content via our **Generative AI service**.
  3. **To Improve the App:** We use aggregated usage data to understand which features are popular, diagnose bugs, and improve the performance and usability of the App.
  4. **Customer Support:** To respond to your questions and provide technical assistance.
  5. **Legal Compliance:** To enforce our Terms and Conditions and comply with legal requirements, including those related to the Apple App Store and Google Play.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We only share your data with third parties necessary to operate and improve the service, or when legally required.

**Crucial AI Note:** When data is sent to the Generative AI Provider to create your roadmap, we implement safeguards to ensure that the content is used *only* for the purpose of generating your response and is **not used to train or improve the underlying AI model** used by that provider.

4.B. Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, or protect the safety of users of the App.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information transmitted through the App. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. We utilize **Firebase's native security features**, including secure connections and access controls, to protect your data.

6. Your Data Protection Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

6.A. Right to Access and Correction

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you or request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete data. Most of your User Content can be accessed and edited directly within the App.

6.B. Right to Deletion (Right to Erasure)

You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated personal data and User Content.

  • **To Initiate Deletion:** You can use the **'Delete Account' button** located within the App's More menu.
  • **Alternatively:** You can contact us directly via email at support@habitdojo.app.

Upon receiving a valid request, we will delete or anonymize your data within a commercially reasonable timeframe, usually within **thirty (30) days**, unless we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons.

7. International Data Transfers

Since the Developer is based in the UAE and our service providers (like Firebase/Google) operate globally, your information may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside of your state, province, or country where the data protection laws may differ. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us, and we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
